Lessons, Parties and Instructor Information

Newstead Equestrian Center is excited to offer English riding lessons for students of all ages and abilities. Our focus is mainly on hunter/jumper, and lessons are offered Wednesday thru Sunday.

Children are usually ready to begin horse back riding lessons around the age of six. But it always depends on each individual child's physical and mental capabilities. Riding horses takes concentration and strength.

Beginner horse riding lessons always include ground instruction as part of the lesson until the student is able to do everything on his/her own.

Christine Ziemer has been teaching hunt seat and jumpers to beginner through intermediate students sense 2001.  Her students regularly return from shows holding many blue ribbons, and she enjoys helping students - both children and adults - to become competent and confident riders. She also trains NEC's lesson horses to keep them in shape and ready for students of all ability levels.
